Greensboro, NC
Home MenuLandscape Ordinance Committee
The Landscape Ordinance Committee is made up of a diverse selection of stakeholders representing various interests in the use and continued implementation of the City's Landscaping and Tree Conservation Ordinance.
Growth and development in Greensboro often requires the removal of trees and other plant material, which depletes a valuable resource. The Landscaping and Tree Conservation Ordinance is designed to protect, preserve, and restore this asset. It was last amended in 2010.
This committee has been assembled to review, advise, and recommend revisions to this ordinance so the City can more effectively meet its goals of increasing sustainability and promoting the importance of conserving Greensboro's tree canopy.
During 2020, this committee will collaborate and then submit recommendations to the Planning Department Director.

Meetings take place on the third Monday of every month at 3 pm in the HR Training Conference Room, UG Level, 300 W. Washington St., unless relocated, canceled or rescheduled.
