Violent Criminal Apprehension Team

The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) conducts fugitive recovery investigations and operations targeting the most violent offenders operating or located within the City of Greensboro.

VCAT's primary mission is to arrest individuals wanted for murder, rape and armed robbery, and sometimes other violent felonies.

VCAT maintains an active working relationship with the State Bureau of Investigations and maintains sworn status through the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
