Heath Communities Strategic Plan
This page is to inform residents in the neighborhoods surrounding Heath Park about strategic planning efforts underway in their community. Everyone who lives in the surrounding area or who has an interest in supporting these neighborhoods may participate in this process. City Council Adopts Plan
City Council adopted the Heath Community Strategic Plan on June 18 after conducting a public hearing. City staff will begin implementing the plan this summer. If you would like staff to attend a neighborhood meeting to discuss the plan, please contact Russ Clegg at 336-373-2211 or e-mail.
Street Widening and Sidewalk Update
Holts Chapel Road & Lowdermilk Street
Widening & Sidewalk Improvements
The Transportation Department hosted an informal Citizens' Informational Workshop to discuss the proposed pedestrian improvements along Holts Chapel Road from E. Market Street to Franklin Boulevard and Lowdermilk Street from Holts Chapel Road to Cameron Avenue. The proposed improvements include curb and gutter and sidewalk. The City has completed about 25 percent of the design of the improvements.
