What is a Photovoice?
A Photovoice is a type of participatory action research in which people use photographs or video to picture their environment and experiences and to express their thoughts about them.
How teens can participate?
Create a piece that answers the following:
Photovoice Submission Ground Rules:
- The contests are open for online submissions only.
- Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
- Must be in the format provided and submitted as an 816 by 1056 pixel PNG, JPEG or PDF. (Can use Canva to put the pieces together.)
- One submission per person.
- You are required to provide a unique title and description for each image submitted.
- Art or photography submitted must be original. It must be your own concept and not a copy of anyone else’s copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another’s copyright, it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your work, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.
- Images must not contain threatening, offensive, or abusive material.
- All entries will be on display in print form.
- If you'd like to submit a non-digital piece, please fill out the form and bring to the Greensboro Youth Council Office.
- We will not accept pictures of pictures.
- If your work does not meet the criteria, it will not be accepted and you will be notified.
