The Greensboro Fire Department is broken down into three critical branches. Each branch is responsible for fulfilling their purpose. Much like a well run machine, Greensboro Fire depends on all three branches for separate needs. Each one has a critical job for the full machine to run efficiently and effectively.

ChiefGeraldDeputy Chief Brent Gerald oversees the Support Service branch. This branch focuses on prevention and education. Prevention is the first step in public safety. This branch also oversees critical resources, safety, and maintenance and operation of our emergency vehicles.

One key component to this branch is the training of our existing and recruit personnel. The Greensboro Fire Department training division hosts one of the most premier and respected recruit academies in the state of North Carolina.
