Post Date:02/14/2023 2:12 PM
A public hearing on an updated proposed short term rental ordinance is scheduled for 5:30 pm Wednesday, March 1, at a special meeting of the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission.

The meeting takes place in Council Chamber, Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St., and will also be available on Zoom.

The updated proposed regulations for short term rentals, which include the rental of private homes through services such as Airbnb and VRBO, were presented to City Council during its January 26 work session. Review the presentation from the meeting.

In-person speakers and those online will have up to three minutes to address the commission. To participate via Zoom, email one of these staff members for link information: Mike Kirkman, Luke Carter or Rachel McCook.

Can’t participate in the meeting that day? Email your comments to one of the staffers above.

Just want to watch the meeting? It will be broadcast live on Greensboro Television Network (GTN).

After this March 1 public hearing, the commission will make an official recommendation about the ordinance. The matter will then go to City Council for another public hearing and final vote. Learn more at www.greensboro-nc.gov/ShortTermRentals.
