The yellow and black Safe Place signs are familiar to us all. They are beacons for youth who are running away, suffering abuse by a parent or stranger, having alcohol- or drug-related problems, experiencing depression or other conflicts.

Find City Safe Place facilities. 

At these facilities, a child can find a City employee who will put him or her in immediate contact with a professional he or she can talk with.
(A City Safe Place is not a facility that provides childcare.) 

Staff at Safe Places have been trained by Youth Focus to handle a request for help. And often, the call made by a City employee is to Youth Focus, a United Way Agency that provides counseling services for youth and their families. Learn more about Youth Focus' Safe Place and shelter services.
