The Benbow Park project used natural stream design to restore more than 2,000 linear feet of stream for the North Carolina Ecosystem Enhancement Program (EEP). The project also involved relocating a playground and aerial sewer, and building a new pedestrian bridge. The project required the stabilization of a stream that had severely eroded stream banks and included stream design and a flood study. The construction was completed in 2004.
