Home MenuNo Straw November
Break the plastic straw habit during November and beyond. Pledge to Skip the Straw!
Over the past 20 years, we've come to expect plastic straws in every drink, but straws are usually dropped in the garbage with no further thought and may become plastic pollution. Greensboro is joining and building upon the momentum of worldwide waste-reduction movements to make plastic straws a thing of the past.
- Join fellow Greensboro residents in saying no to plastic straws in November and beyond. Take the pledge today!
- Restaurants, bars, and other organizations interested in pledging to reduce their straw use, should fill out this form.
- If your establishment is not using straws or already using reusable or natural alternatives, please fill out this form and let us know so we can add you to our list.
Please note, we recognize plastic straws may be necessary for individuals with certain medical conditions or disabilities. The City's goal is to raise awareness about plastic waste and encourage alternatives, but we fully support those who require plastic straws for their health and well-being. Thank you for understanding!
