IRide updated logoGTA is proud to bring independent mobility to our riders with I-Ride, a private, door-to-door transportation service provided by Greensboro Transit Agency. It is available to certified ADA paratransit riders in Greensboro.

How does I-Ride work?
Passengers can simply call the I-Ride reservations number at 336-663-1693 for pickup. However, with I-Ride same-day service is available with at least two hours notice Monday through Friday. An appropriately equipped car, van, or SUV operated by professional drivers will pick you up at your desired location and deliver you directly to your destination with ease. To return, you can simply call to request a return trip if you do not already have one scheduled. You will need your Access GSO client ID# when you call for reservations. If you do not know it, you can call 336-333-6589 to request it.

What is the cost of I-Ride?

I-Ride offers a flat fare of $8.50 per trip. This will cover travel anywhere within the city limits of Greensboro. In addition, a new app launching April 21 will allow riders to schedule and manage your trip using your mobile device. It will also allow you to see real-time arrivals of your I-Ride.

Where can I go on I-Ride?
You can use I-Ride to travel anywhere within the city limits of Greensboro.

When can I use I-Ride?
I-Ride is available Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 11:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday hours are 6 am to 10 pm.

When can I call I-Ride to make a reservation?

Live operators are available for reservations Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 11:30 pm. Saturday and Sunday hours are 6 am to 10 pm.

Who qualifies for I-Ride?
Persons with disabilities who live within the Greensboro city limits and are certified for the use of ADA paratransit services are automatically qualified for I-Ride.

Will I share my I-Ride with someone else, or make stops to pick up other people?
No, your ride is for you and your chosen passengers only.

So I can bring others along on my I-Ride?
Yes! You can bring your Personal Care Assistant (PCA) along at no additional charge. You can also travel with as many other guests as you desire, subject to the capacity of the vehicle. They, just like you, will pay the same fare

Are car/booster seats for children provided by I-Ride?
Infants must be placed in car seats and children under 80 pounds must be placed in booster seats. If your trip will include a child of car/booster seat age, you will need to provide your own for use. This is required by law. Children under 5 years old may ride at no cost with the eligible rider.

Passengers must have a credit or debit card on file for payment. Drivers will not accept cash.

Can I use Access GSO passes for my I-Ride trip?
No. Payment can only be made on a credit or debit card.

Can I make stops during my I-Ride trip?
No. I-Ride drivers will only provide pick-ups and drop offs to the locations requested in the reservation. They cannot go through any drive-thru's such as banks, pharmacies, restaurants, etc.

When the I-Ride arrives, how long will they wait for me?

Upon arriving at your pickup location, they will wait five minutes. They will try to call you during this time to let you know they are there. If you do not come out within 5 minutes, the ride will be designated as a "No Show" and the trip will still be charged with no reimbursement. Trips must be cancelled within one hour of scheduled pick-up time to avoid No Show penalty.

How far in advance can I reserve my I-Ride?
You can schedule your I-Ride up to 30 days in advance. You can also schedule repeating trips for employment, education, medical, etc.

Can I bring my service animal on I-Ride?
Yes!

What if I use a wheelchair or scooter? Can I still use I-Ride?

Yes! I-Ride has the ability to service riders in wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Please alert us of your need at the time of reservation.

Can I choose the driver?
You can request specific drivers for your I-Ride trips. However, their availability is not guaranteed.

What if I am not currently qualified for ADA paratransit services?

You must be certified to use ADA services in order to use I-Ride. For information on applying for Access GSO ADA services, visit the Access GSO page.

Who operates I-Ride?
I-Ride by is an authorized service by Greensboro Transit Agency with transportation services provided by UZURV, a Virginia-based transportation company that partners with various cities for paratransit services.

Are there any other tips for using I-Ride?
Although you can request an I-Ride trip in as little as two hours, we recommend that you reserve your travel as early as possible.
Maintain enough funds on your card for at least two trips ($17) at all times.
I-Ride users are subject to the same policies as GTA including No Show and Disruptive Passenger.
