Victim: Michael Oliver
On May 11, 2000 at 12:30 am, Greensboro officers were called to the 800 Block of Pasadena Street, the Ray Warren Homes, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Michael Oliver lying on the porch of the residence. Further investigation revealed that Oliver died from a single gunshot wound to the arm.

Victim: Eddie Cruz
On September 16, 2000 at 1:18 am, Greensboro officers were called to 3900 Overland Heights, the Overland Crest Apartments, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Eddie Cruz lying in the parking lot. Further investigation revealed that Cruz died from a single gunshot wound.

Victim: Robert Payne Williams
On September 16, 2000 at 2:20 am, Robert Payne Williams was shot at Club Sensations, 2312 E. Bessemer Ave. Williams was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. It was determined that Williams died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On October 14, 2000 at 8:16 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 1213 Tucker St. in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Clarence Edward McCollum dead inside of the residence. Further investigation revealed that McCollum died from a gunshot wound to the back.

Victim: Jeffrey Leonard Gunn
On January 23, 2001 at 6:46 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 501-A Greenbriar Rd. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Jeffrey Leonard Gunn lying behind the apartment building. It was later determined that Gunn died from a gunshot wound to the back. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

Victim: Michael Edward Markwordt
On June 15, 2001 at 8:25 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 2620 Shady Lawn Dr. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Michael Edward Markwordt inside of the residence unconscious. Markwordt was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died. It was determined that Markwordt died from a head injury as a result of being beaten.

On September 12, 2001 at 9:05 am, Greensboro officers were called to 402 Tipton Pl., H3 Sheet Metal, in reference to a body found. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Stephen David Welch behind the business. Further investigation revealed that Welch died from blunt force trauma.

On the morning of October 20, 2001, Greensboro officers responded to Cook Out at the intersection of Summit Avenue and Third Street in reference to a subject down. Upon arrival at the scene officers found the manager, Kenneth Michael Warnsley, lying on the floor. It was later determined that Warnsley died from a single gunshot wound to the chest. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On July 17, 2003 at 6:59 am, Greensboro officers responded to 106 S. English St. in reference to a body found. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Tony Lamont Wilkes lying behind the residence. It was later determined that Wilkes died from a single gunshot wound.

On July 28, 2003 at 2:30 pm, Greensboro officers responded to a call about a shooting at 309 Holt Ave. Upon arrival at the scene officers found James Antowan Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Williams was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he later died. It was determined that Williams died from a gunshot wound to the back.

Tremale Cogdell was shot and killed on August 4, 2003 at 4 pm, on N. English St. Cogdell was driving a white Jeep Cherokee that crashed into a tree near the Lorillard Tobacco Company after the shooting. Victim: Bryant Taylor
On October 26, 2003 around 4 am, Bryant Taylor was transported to Moses Cone Hospital by a private vehicle. Upon arrival at the hospital it was determined that Taylor was suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. Taylor was pronounced dead a short time later. It was determined that the shooting occurred in the parking lot of Club Remix located at Sands Drive and E. Cone Boulevard.

On July 11, 2004 at 2:15 am, Jesus Salvador Rivas Nava was shot while standing near the intersection of S. Elm and E. Lewis streets after leaving Club Artistika. Nava was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he died from a single gunshot wound.

On October 16, 2004 at 10:45 pm, Greensboro officers responded to the parking lot of the Colonial Apartments, 356 Burlingate Dr., in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Idrissa Salifou lying on the ground in the parking lot. Salifou was pronounced dead on the scene and further investigation revealed he died from a single gunshot wound.

On January 24, 2005 at 9:40 am, Brian Edward Winslow was found dead in his apartment at 805- F Carrieland Dr., Trinity Garden Apartments. Winslow died from multiple stab wounds.

On October 29, 2005 at 1 am, Greensboro officers were called to 602 Fairmont St. in reference to a subject down. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Earnest Herron Jr. inside of a vehicle located in the apartment’s parking lot. Further investigation determined that Herron died from multiple gunshot wounds.

On February 18, 2006 at 10:25 am, Greensboro officers responded to 4217 Romaine St. in reference to a subject down. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Jimmy Lee Fields inside a gold Ford Crown Victoria located in the apartment’s parking lot. Fields was pronounced dead on the scene and it was later determined that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

On March 27, 2006 at 3:30 am, Jason Brian Haynes was found in the front yard of his residence at 724 Creek Ridge Rd. suffering from gunshot wounds. Haynes died a short time later. On June 14, 2006 at 2:35 am, Greensboro officers were called to the intersection of E. Lee and S. Eugene streets in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Datrick Jermaine Snipes unresponsive inside a vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Snipes died from multiple gunshot wounds. It was determined that the shooting occurred at the Waffle House, 3204 High Point Rd.

On September 27, 2006 at 11:40 am, Greensboro officers responded to 5634-E W. Market St. in reference to a body found. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Rodney Patrick lying on the floor. Further investigation revealed that Patrick died from a single gunshot wound.

On June 16, 2007 around 3 am, Preston Matthew Angelo, 15, was transported to Moses Cone Hospital by a private vehicle. Upon arrival at the hospital it was determined that Angelo was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Angelo was pronounced dead a short time later. There is a Governor’s reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.

On August 4, 2009 at 11:54 am, Greensboro officers responded to 4214 Bernau Ave., the Hickory Trails Apartments, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival at the scene officers located Breyon Shon Deese, 16, lying on the ground behind the apartment building. Deese was pronounced dead at the scene and it was determined that he died from multiple gunshot wounds.

On August 20, 2009 Joseph Adefolalu was found fatally shot in his taxicab in the 1900 block of Mayfair Avenue. The investigation determined Adefolalu was the victim of an apparent robbery. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Dennis Hayle, an NC A&T State University student lying unresponsive in the breezeway of the apartment building. Hayle was pronounced dead at the scene and it was later determined that he died from a single gunshot wound.
