Victim: Willie Ernst Grimes
On May 22, 1969 at 12:55 am, Willie Ernst Grimes was shot on NC A&T State University’s campus between Ward Hall and Carver Hall. Grimes was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. This incident occurred during the civil unrest on campus during this time period.

Victim: Oscar Wright
On July 9, 1970 at 11:10 pm, Greensboro officers arrived at 110 E. Whittington St. Upon their arrival they found Oscar Wright lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. Wright was transported to Moses Cone Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Victim: Anderson Brooks
On February 4, 1973 at 1:30 am, Greensboro officers arrived at 814 Cottage Grove Ave. and found Anderson Brooks lying at the bottom of the back steps of the residence. Brooks died due to multiple gunshot wounds.
Case #: 1976-121357
Victim: Roy Wishon
On August 21, 1976 at 5:03 pm, Greensboro officers were called to the area of 200 Burtner St. Upon their arrival they found Roy Wishon lying in a wooded area close to this location. Further investigation revealed that Wishon died of blunt force injuries.
Case #: 1977-41991
Victim: Grace Richardson
On April 3, 1977 at 4:28 pm, Greensboro officers were called to 903 W. Wendover Ave. in reference to a subject down inside the residence. Upon arrival at the scene officers found Grace Richardson, 68, dead inside the residence. The cause of death was later determined to be from multiple stab wounds.

Victim: James Dick
On September 24, 1978 at 7:08 am, Greensboro officers were called to the 600 block of Gorrell Street. Upon arrival, officers found James Dick lying in the doorway of the residence. Dick died due to a stab wound to the leg.
