Tree Canopy Studies

The City has conducted tree inventories in the College Hill and Aycock neighborhoods and is cooperating with Guilford County to conduct a tree canopy study for the entire county.

A tree inventory provides a summary of the condition of trees in a neighborhood. By cataloging the species' composition and age distribution, we can project data that reflects carbon sequestration, guides maintenance, and aids in planning for regeneration.
