Greensboro has 30+ miles of dedicated hiking trails and an 30+ miles of shared-use mountain biking trails for the enjoyment for every outdoor enthusiast. The beautiful scenery around the lakes, wildflowers, trees, and wildlife make these trails one of Greensboro's best kept secrets. Trails are preserved in a primitive manner and most are linear - you will walk out and back along the same path from the trailhead where you started. Trail and parking information is available here, or download Piedmont Discovery on your mobile device.

The Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail depicts hikers walking from the mountains to the coast. Many of these trails are part of the Mountains-to-Sea State Trail network and are maintained in partnership with volunteers from the Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.
