About

Greensboro's only outdoor adventure week for teens 12-15. This program is for teens who are ready to test their limits with sailing, kayaking, hiking, climbing, and other outdoor recreation opportunities. It will be based at Lake Higgins, with trips to natural areas throughout the Triad.

Five sessions will be offered in 2024. All weeks will include identical activities and field trips. Only register for one session. When summer begins, camps will follow all current safety COVID-19 protocols to keep staff and campers healthy.

Overview

  • Registration begins March 1. 
  • Cost: $250 includes transportation and admission to all field trip locations
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm
  • Location: Lake Higgins, 4235 Hamburg Mill Rd., Summerfield

Morning - Behind-the-scenes tour at Carolina Tiger Rescue 
Afternoon - Learn archery at Hester Park

Morning - Fishing; Survival skills session; Orienteering
Afternoon - Rock climbing at Tumblebees; Field games

Friday
All day - Field trip to explore Hanging Rock State Park
