July is National Parks and Recreation Month. This year, Greensboro will celebrate National Park and Recreation Month this July with Adult Recess, a movie at Hester Park, and Maker's Way at Gateway Gardens. Follow us on Facebook for fun stuff throughout the month.
Adult Recess - CANCELED due to weather
Calling all adults ages 21+! Hire the babysitter, grab your friends, and get ready for Adult Recess 2024!Join us on July 12 at the Barber Park Sprayground from 6-9 pm for this free, adult-only evening of fun. There is music, dancing, nostalgic playground games, complete access to the sprayground, food and beverage vendors, and so much more.
Movie in the Park - CANCELED due to weather
The fun continues for the entire family with a free movie at 8:15 pm on Saturday, July 20 at Hester Park. Join us for a free showing of "Elemental". Bring a blanket, grab a bite to eat (while supplies last) from the Greensboro Police grill team, and cozy up for a movie under the stars. Makers Way at Gateway
Stroll through Gateway Gardens on Saturday, July 27 from 11 am to 2 pm for hands-on demos from "makers" of many things. This inaugural event will have vendors from glass blowing to chocolate making and more, food trucks, beer and cider as well as live performances. Let us know if you're going on our Facebook event.
Parks and Rec Month BINGO
Explore Parks and Recreation facilities all month long with a fun game of BINGO for all ages. Download one of the three BINGO cards electronically, or pick one up at your local recreation center or public library. Complete your card, email it back to us, and be entered to win one of three Parks and Recreation prize packs!
