The Environmental Compliance and Support Division within the Office of Sustainability has consolidated internal resources and personal from various city departments to act as an internal environmental resource to assist all city departments identify, manage and address environmental challenges/impacts with the goal to reduce the City’s potential environmental liability.

With a staff having over 75 years of environmental experience, the department brings professional expertise in Brownfield, underground and aboveground storage tanks, solid waste management, groundwater/surface water and soil remediation, vapor intrusion, and air quality together to provide all City departments with the most comprehensive experience and expertise to assist departments can best manage the City’s resources.
