Originally built as the Justice Drug Company in 1948, this 30,000 sq. ft. building is now a secure, state of the art facility near downtown Greensboro. The 63-year-old structure was completely renovated in 1995. The building now is equipped with 9-1-1 call taking, call processing, and dispatch equipment that allow telecommunicators to receive 9-1-1 calls, locate callers, process calls, and dispatch calls for assistance faster than ever before.JusticeDrugBuilding

Guilford Metro 9-1-1 also maintains a fully redundant and identically equipped 'backup' PSAP in the event of a disaster situation. This facility can be used if there is a disaster affecting the 'primary' or main PSAP, where it is not operational or unsafe to be occupied (due to building fire, natural disaster, etc.).

The backup facility can also be used as an 'over flow' PSAP in the event of a major community disaster (manmade or natural) when additional call intake and call processing resources are needed. This site is often used during large events throughout the community, from Fun Fourth to large concerts or collegiate events.
