The City of Greensboro has constructed a state-of-the-art training facility that is shared by the Greensboro Fire Department and the Greensboro Police Department. Within this facility, all new recruits for both departments are trained as well as existing personnel.

Line training for the Greensboro Fire Department includes a variety of topics that are designed to keep all personnel at top performance for whatever type of incident that may occur. In addition to general firefighting topics, firefighters train in emergency medical care, vehicle extrication, hazardous material recognition and containment, technical rescue disciplines and more.
