Filing a Complaint
Do you have concerns about the way you were treated by a member of the Greensboro Police Department (GPD)? You may file a complaint about the incident.
Do this by filling out this online GPD Complaint Form.
The form will be forwarded to the police department's Professional Standards Division (PSD) for investigation, which is the only City office that investigates GPD complaints.

Contact Samiyah Lewis, criminal justice administrator with Greensboro Criminal Justice Advisory Commission (GCJAC). She can fill out the form with you and then submit it to GPD for you.

Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Mondays through Fridays. Her office is in Room 128, Plaza Level, Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St.

Not Satisfied with PSD's Decision?
You may request a review of your complaint be made by the Police Citizens Review Board (PCRB), which is a subcommittee of GCJAC. These are the steps for requesting a review:
- Contact Samiyah Lewis and make an appointment with her to talk about your case. She can be reached by phone at 336-944-5412 or by e-mail.
- She will gather all information related to the case that you would like considered, as well as all information from PSD that was used to make its decision. This information can include the entire investigation file and related recordings.
- Once her file is completed, she will schedule a complaint review with PCRB within 60 days.
