The commission meets on the second Monday of the month from 5:30-7 pm in Suite 101 of the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. Meetings are open to the public.

Cultural Affairs Commission
About the Commission
The Cultural Affairs Commission is a nine-member volunteer board appointed by City Council. Commissioners serve as advisors to staff, promote the work of Creative Greensboro in the community, and act as a liaison to City Council. The commission receives Creative Greensboro reports regarding development and outcomes of investment strategies and provides guidance and counsel.
Members
Resides in District 5. Represents business community and a small budget arts organization. Term expires September 2025.
Resides in District 3. Represents a large budget arts organization. Term expires September 2023.
Resides in District 3. Represents a college or university arts program. Term expires September 2024.
Resides in District 1 and is a community leader and active in the creative community. Term expires September 2025.
Resides in District 5. Represents K-12 arts education. Term expires September 2023.
Resides in District 3 and is a creative entrepreneur. Term expires September 2023.
Resides in District 5 and is a creative entrepreneur. Term expires September 2024.
Resides in District 2 and represents the business community. Term expires September 2025.
Resides in District 4 and represents a tenant of the Greensboro Cultural Center. Term expires September 2025.
Commission Eligibility
Commissioners will serve staggered, three-year terms. The commission is comprised of people who represent the demographics of the city and at least 51 percent of members will represent direct affiliations with the creative community. Creative community representatives must include one person from of each of the following areas:
- Creative entrepreneur
- K-12 arts educator
- Directly affiliated with a nonprofit cultural organization with an annual budget of less than $500,000
- Directly affiliated with a nonprofit cultural organization with an annual budget of more than $500,000
- Representative from a college or university arts and culture program area
- Directly affiliated with a Greensboro Cultural Center tenant organization.
