The City’s Ad-hoc Committee on African American Disparity (ACAAD) honors Juneteenth with a mixer from 5-7 pm on June 21 at the African American Atelier, 200 N. Davie St.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments as they network with ACAAD commissioners, explore the art gallery, and learn more about the commission’s activities. This is a free event, but online registration is required.
The ACAAD seeks to address barriers that prevent the success of Greensboro’s African American residents. The committee researches policies and procedures, obtains community feedback, and makes recommendations to the City Council about ways to improve access to resources for the city’s African American population.
