Nicknamed “The Community’s Gathering Place,” Guilford County Prison Farm is made up of 600 acres leased to local farmers while 120 acres are maintained by Guilford County Facilities and Parks Department. Formerly known as the Prison Farm, today it supports the community as a passive park with hiking trails, greenhouses and more.

Students in BEST, are at-risk youth referred by the court system or Guilford County Schools.  The youth are involved in a hydroponics mentor program at the greenhouses at the former Guilford County Prison Farm.
