Storytime is not just for children. Multi-sensory experiences are the best way to engage audiences of all ages and abilities. The storytime will encourage literacy through short books, storytelling, music, and movement related to a central theme.
Sensory Storytime makes stories come alive for special needs adults in ways they can touch, taste, see, smell, and hear. Using old favorites as well as new stories, repetitive rhymes, and interactive call and response in both reading and music, participants can develop their comprehension and literacy skills, as well as refining social skills through interaction with their peers and library staff.
