The Livestock Players teen theatre company presents Bat Boy, the Musical on November 8-11 and 15-18 in the City Arts Studio Theatre, Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. Nightly performances are at 8:05 pm Thursday through Saturday and at 2:05 pm on Sunday.
This dark comedy is an off-Broadway hit based on an article by the Weekly World News where a half-bat child is found in a cave in West Virginia. From there, the story takes off with theatre songs mixed with rock opera and rap music as Edgar, the Bat Boy, finds a family and acceptance in a West Virginia coal mining town.
