Noe' Álvarez's story is about his four month-long marathon from Canada to Guatemala. He joined a Native American/First Nations movement called the Peace and Dignity Journeys with long distance marathon runners. The book describes the difficulties he has to overcome as well as asserting Indigenous and working-class humanity in a world where oil extraction, deforestation, and substance abuse tear communities apart. The book will be available for pickup at the branch prior to the program. To register, e-mail Melanie Buckingham.
