The quarterly meeting of the volunteer commissions and committees overseen by the City’s Human Rights Department is scheduled for 6 pm on Wednesday, December 14, at the Barber Park Event Center, 1502 Barber Park Drive.
The public is invited to meet with commissioners and learn about the City’s Human Rights Commission, the Commission on the Status of Women, the Ad hoc Committee on African-American Disparities, the Transgender Task Force, and the International Advisory Committee. Guests will also learn how to apply for service on the commissions and committees. The December 14 event replaces each commission’s regularly scheduled meeting for December.
The Human Rights Department promotes mutual understanding, respect, and fair treatment of all Greensboro residents without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, or familial status.
