Join Parks and Recreation and Water Resources for environmental science based learning that engages middle school girls. During Guilford Creek Week, we will offer two programs throughout Greensboro City’s parks and waterways, encouraging girls to realize their potential to create change within the natural environment. Through hands-on activities and the stimulating concepts of virtual field exploration, technology, advocacy, and project-based science, Green Girls develop an understanding of natural ecosystems in Greensboro’s parks, learn about future careers in the sciences, and understand their own power to advocate for the environment and their parks.
Registration for this program is required by June 6. To register for session 1, look for the blue registration button near the top of this page.
Session 1 (June 7) - focuses on water quality in our city.
Session 2 (June 11) - focuses on animal species that indicate the health of the water around us.
Please note that session 2 will build on session 1, so we encourage you to register for both at the same time.
