National Night Out occurs one night each year and provides an avenue for communities and neighborhoods to come together at a block party or other gathering to support and build awareness for the local law enforcement agencies.
NNO's goals and objectives are to:
•Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
•Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs
•Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
•Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Many neighborhoods throughout Greensboro will be hosting National Night Out events.
