Parks and Rec Fest will be held from 4-8 pm, Sunday, July 29, at Gillespie Golf Course. It's a day of free family fun, games, inflatables, giveaways, and a live MUSEP concert featuring the blues and R&B group Sweet Dreams and rock and variety group the Rob Massengale Band. Food and beer are available for purchase.

Visit the mist tent for a Plan2Play Community Conversation, the last community meeting before the department completes its 2038 comprehensive plan. There will be short presentations at 4:30, 5 and 5:30 pm and a chance to win tickets to Cirque du Soleil or the Carolina Cobras for everyone who visits the tent. Visit all the booths to win a Parks and Rec Fest prize package worth more than $400.
