Greensboro Parks and Recreation invites residents to community workshops to develop ideas for the exhibit at the planned Tribute to Women, at 6, 7, or 8 pm, Tuesday, June 12, at the Simkins Indoor Sports Pavilion at Barber Park.

The City hired Studio Displays Inc. to design the exhibit with input from the community. The consultants will design an exhibit that honors and showcases the contributions of women who have lived, worked, and served in Greensboro and have impacted, influenced, transformed, or shaped the rich history of the city. The tribute, spurred by a donation from the estate of Ruth Wicker, will be housed in a new community building now under construction
