City Workshops Designed to Help M/WBE Businesses Succeed

If you are a small, minority or woman business owner who needs assistance in blueprint reading, estimating, business insurance, and customer service, the City has workshops for you.

Conducted by the City’s Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise Office (M/WBE), the free workshops below are designed to help businesses succeed in purchasing and contracting processes, as well as in their daily operations.

Introduction to Blueprint Reading  ̶  RSVP required

Learn how to organize and apply blueprint reading skills towards preparing accurate forecasts of materials, labor and costs involved in a project.

Introduction to Construction Estimating  ̶  RSVP required
5-9 pm, March 28

Learn how to assemble and organize an accurate site work estimate.

Essentials of Small Business Insurance  ̶  RSVP required
5-6 pm, April 11

Understand the importance of insurance and how to determine what type of insurance your business needs.

Customer Service Etiquette  ̶  RSVP required
6:30-7:30 pm, April 11
Central Library, Nussbaum Room, 219 N. Church St.
This workshop will uncover what you can do now to be at the top of your game and achieve success.
