R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots) is a 1920 science fiction play by the Czech writer Karel Capek. It introduced the word "robot" to the English language and science fiction. The roboti (robots) are made from synthetic organic matter. They seem happy to work for humans at first, but they become more and more disenfranchised. R.U.R. is dark, but is not without hope for humanity.
Auditions will be cold readings from the script.
