Lia Miller with Creative Aging Network of NC (CAN-NC) will be directing members in writing an artist's statement. We want to know about your passion! What would you like to convey to others about your craft or skill? Don't have a craft or skill? No problem. Tell us what art adds to your life. Don't forget that writing literature and music are all art forms. Maybe words are your passion; maybe music is your passion. We want to be inspired by you! At the end of the session, you will have a finished and polished artist statement.
The Greensboro Senior Artists Guild is tailored for seasoned artists willing to share their creative wisdom with the Greensboro community.
Our Mission:
• To encourage creative self-expression and skill sharing in a mutually supportive environment to further artistic development among members.
• To foster the value and appreciation of older artists through exhibitions, performances, print, social media, technology, special projects and encouraging participation in the Greater Greensboro Senior Games SilverArts competition.
• To create outlets to market our creations, and, as group, create a safe, respectful and open meeting place for like-minded individuals.
• To reach out to existing organizations to collaboratively promote lifelong learning in the arts.
Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 1:30 pm at Smith Senior Center. Holidays may require a date change. Membership dues are $12 per year.
