To mark the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the United States, three Triad performing arts groups and five area churches will present Memorial Concert: A Commemoration of September 11, 2001.

The program includes Requiem by Gabriel Fauré conducted by Dr. Jonathan Brotherton of the Choral Society of Greensboro and Memorial by René Clausen conducted by David Pegg of the High Point Community Chorus. Memorial was premiered at Riverside Church in New York City on February 15, 2003, under the baton of the composer.
The mass chorus will include members from High Point Community Chorus and Choral Society of Greensboro, and choir members from Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Covenant Church United Methodist, Emerywood Baptist Church, Centenary United Methodist Church, and Christ United Methodist Church.
Additional funding and support for the concert comes from High Point Area Arts Council, High Point Convention & Visitors Bureau, City of High Point, the Music Center of Greensboro Parks & Recreation, City of Greensboro, Guilford County, The High Point Enterprise, Ann and Jim Morgan, Dr. Deborah Frazier Novak, Joel Williams Memorial Fund, and other generous donors.
