Animation is Cinema Batman MotPAnimation is cinema, animation is not a genre, and animation is ready to be taken to the next step. Keep animation in the conversation.” -Guillermo del Toro, Academy Award-Winning director of Pinocchio and The Shape of Water.

Join us for the Animation is Cinema Club where once a month we screen an animated film, shorts, or episodes to celebrate the storytelling and artistry of animation from across the globe. Expect modern hits, art-house gems, hand-drawn classics, anime, stop motion, and more.

This month's screening will be the 1993 film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, directed by Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm starring Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Dana Delany. It is based on the 1992 Batman: The Animated Series, one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved adaptations of the iconic DC hero.

The film is 78 minutes long and will be presented in English with subtitles. It is rated PG. You can learn more about the film here.

This program is for adults. Teens and children are welcome to attend with parental supervision but please be advised that not all of the content shown will be appropriate for those under 18 years old.
