Join us for a sensory storytime featuring The Very Hungry Caterpillar and other stories about food!
Sensory Storytime is a 30-minute storytime that encourages children to engage with books, songs, and rhymes in whatever way they feel comfortable. The storytime follows a visual schedule, and children are not expected to sit or stay quiet at this event.
The storytime is followed by free play with a variety of hands-on activities, including sensory bins, puzzles, crafts, and more.
The program is led by a children’s librarian who is also the parent of a child with autism. Children of all ages and siblings are welcome.
Contact Kelly Proudfit with questions. A social story about visiting the library for Sensory Storytime is available here.
This event is part of the Greensboro Public Library's One City, One Book program.
