This meeting will be conducted online only. To watch the meeting or speak on an agenda item, please email Shayna Thiel no later than 10 am Monday, April 25. You will then be emailed the online meeting link and instructions on how to participate prior to the start of the meeting.
There is no option to provide handouts or other documents the day of the meeting. If you have presentations, pictures or other materials for the meeting, please email them to Shayna Thiel no later than 12 pm Friday, April 22. No materials received after this time will be distributed at the meeting.
All speakers will be sworn in for the record and no written or emailed comments will be considered by the Board of Adjustment due to the board’s quasi-judicial nature.
The Greensboro Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body responsible for hearing and deciding appeals, variance requests, special exceptions, and interpretations of the zoning regulations. In doing this, the board is charged with upholding the purpose and intent of the development ordinance when there are practical difficulties or unnecessary hardships that result from carrying out the strict letter of the law.
The Board of Adjustment is composed of seven members appointed by City Council for three-year terms. Regular meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month.
