Molas and Worry Dolls from Central America

Celebrate Latino culture as you virtually travel to the Central American countries of, Panama and Guatemala. Design a paper mola and learn about the intricate sewing and embroidery techniques used by the Guna Indians of Panama. Discovery the purpose of traditional worry dolls of Guatemala and make your own. 

This is a new series of programs designed for homeschool families to encourage cultural exploration through traditional art and craft activities. These programs will take place every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 1:30 pm during the months of September, October, and  November. Come explore the Multicultural Resources available at the Glenwood Library.
