Data News

City and town population estimates were released by the US Census Bureau on May 23, 2013. 

Per the American Community Survey, the 2012 population estimate for the City of Greensboro is 277,080 [1]. The 2012 Municipal Population Piedmont Triad includes population estimates for all cities in the 12-county Piedmont Triad Region.

The reports below make use of several federal, state, and local data sources, including the US Census Bureau, American Community Survey (ACS), North Carolina State Data Center, and ESRI Community Analyst. The primary data source for each document is noted below in parentheses. Please note, demographic and population estimates from different data sources may not be comparable.
